There is something so irresistibly beautiful about the love between two beings embarking on the remarkable journey to becoming one. But what is about that type of love that makes it "goals" as our generation likes to say? In the bible, I John 4:8 it states, "...God is love." The natural untainted love that is seen between a man and a woman represents the part of Himself that He put in us. With that type of genuine love comes the willingness to be selfless; to be like God in our duty to one another as man and woman (husband and wife). When we see a couple that is expressing that type of love to one another our hearts are overcome with joy. According to Minister Louis Farrakhan's lecture Love and Duty, "when you have love, you have life," and since God is love and love is life and without duty love is a fantasy, when we witness real love, we are getting a glimpse of God's love. We are seeing the results of being dutiful to one another by submitting to God, who is the core essence of who we are- our life source.
